Book Name: Beyond the Siege

The concept for this book cover was to illustrate the escape of the woman from a city under siege.
The key component was the woman with her baby, finding the right image for this wasn’t easy because of the dynamics needed to fit story line.
The next key image was the trail to help illustrate the escape from the city, I was very please with this image, it supplied multiple dynamics that help make this cover a success.
As you can see the mountain was used to support the castle although I didn’t like the positioning of the hill exactly so I moved it over to the left.
An additional component was the filed of flower on the side of the trail to help illustrate the abundant life found outside the siege.
